Jurnal Scopus: Mahir Speaking Bahasa Inggris Melalui Game Online
Saat ini, keterampilan speaking dalam Bahasa Inggris dapat dilatih melalui game online. Teknologi telah benar-benar mengubah cara bagaimana pengetahuan dan keterampilan diperoleh. Penulis yang tergabung dalam platform komunikasi online telah menjumpai banyak orang yang mengaku mahir dalam speaking melalui game online. Berdasarkan penelusuran di basis data Scopus, praktek pembelajaran tersebut dikenal dengan istilah "Extramural English".
Jenis Game Online Yang Potensial
Pada umumnya, hampir semua game online dapat dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris. Namun berdasarkan wawancara terbuka yang dilakukan penulis, mayoritas partisipan mengaku bahwa jenis game online yang potensial adalah game yang berjenis massively multiplayer online real-time game. Pengakuan partisipan-partisipan penelitian tersebut juga dapat diverifikasi pada basis data Scopus yang menjelaskan bahwa bermain game berjenis massively multiplayer online real-time game.
